🏆 The Ultimate Power Progression Guide: Ideas to Get Stronger

If you want to dominate the server in Top Heroes, raw power isn't just about spending; it's about efficient resource management and prioritizing the right upgrades.

To maximize your Combat Power and Precision Power, you need to focus on these core progression systems: Buildings, Research, Equipment, Relics, Heroes, Lord Runes & Gear, and Decor.

Here is the complete breakdown of how to optimize each category.

🏗️ 1. Buildings

Your Castle is the heart of your base, but neglecting the supporting buildings will severely bottleneck your progress.

📌 The "Core 4" (Keep at Castle Level)

There are 4 specific buildings that should always be leveled up simultaneously with your Castle, as they are strict prerequisites for the next Castle upgrade:

  1. Training Ground: Increases your troop limit.
  2. Guild: Increases the number of helps you can receive, reducing timer speeds.
  3. Hospital: Crucial for saving wounded troops during PvP and KvK.
  4. Research Academy: The backbone of your passive stats.

🔥 Highly Recommended to Maximize

Keep these buildings as close to your Castle level as possible to boost your actual combat strength:

  1. Barracks: At specific milestone levels (e.g., Lv. 25, 30, 35), your Barracks unlock the next Tier of troops. Higher-tier troops provide a massive leap in power.
  2. League / Horde / Nature Statues: These directly give your deployed heroes of that faction bonus HP, Attack, and March Size.
  3. Tavern: Provides global Attack, HP, and Defense buffs to your heroes.
  4. Medal Hall (Unlocks at Castle 25): Gives a global HP boost to all soldiers.
  5. Relic Hall: Upgrading this gives you extra slots for relics. At Relic Hall level 50, you can equip 3 Relics for each team. Leveling it also increases your base Relic attributes (Attack, HP, Attribute Conversion).
  6. Blacksmith: Gives your gear bonus Attack and HP, while also significantly reducing gear forging times.
  7. Rally Hall: Try to push this to Level 30 alongside your Castle to unlock an extra seat in your rallies. Having more players in your rally is a game-changer for difficult PvP targets or high-level Legion Bosses. Furthermore, it provides Rally HP, Rally Damage Increase, and Damage Reduction.

💎 Resource Buildings (Upgrade Based on Need)

Depending on your current bottleneck, prioritize these resource producers:

  1. Enhanced Rune Mine: Equipment upgrades require a massive amount of runes. Level this up early.
  2. Magic Stone Mine: Magic stones are used to upgrade your Relic Hall. Upgrading the hall unlocks more slots and strengthens relics. Note: Arcane Crystals are needed every 10 levels and are very rare, so buy them whenever you can afford them.
  3. Raw Ore Mine (Available late game): You need Raw Ore to convert into Solar Ingots, which are used to forge Mythic/high-end equipment.
  4. Meat Ranch: You will always need meat for hero leveling and training troops.
  5. Ruby Mine: You need millions of Rubies for late-game research and Castle upgrades. You will face a heavy Ruby drought later on.
  6. Medal Hall: Produces the medals you need to exchange in shops, but more importantly, it is required to upgrade your troop skins.
  7. Monastery: Not highly urgent, but it provides a steady passive income of Skill Books for your heroes.

🔬 2. Research (The Hidden Power Multiplier)

Content Added!

Research is often overlooked by beginners, but it is the biggest differentiator between "fake power" (just having lots of troops) and actual combat strength.

  1. Combat Branch: This should be your highest priority. Focus on nodes that increase March Capacity (bringing more troops to a fight) and direct Hero Attack/HP.
  2. Faction Branch: Once you decide on your main queue (Nature, League, or Horde), push their specific research tree to the maximum. This gives massive percentage-based multipliers to that specific faction.
  3. Basic Economy: Don't ignore the early economy nodes that increase your building and research speed—these save you weeks of waiting time in the long run.

⚔️ 3. Equipment

Proper gear can double a hero's damage output.

🔄 Farming Epic to Legendary

  1. Farm Adventure Map Bosses: They drop Epic (Purple) equipment. Ration your stamina carefully so you still have enough for Dailies and Guild Events.
  2. Convert, Don't Upgrade: Do NOT upgrade or enhance these Epic items if your ultimate goal is to convert them.
  3. The Formula: 20 Epic equipment pieces can be converted into 1 Legendary (Red) equipment.

If you farm efficiently, you should be able to craft about half the required Legendary gear for your top 3 heroes this way. The rest will come from lucky boss drops or traditional Blacksmith crafting.

⬆️ Enhancing and Refining (Content Added!)

Once you have Legendary or Mythic gear:

  1. Enhancing: Use Enhancing Stones (from Arena Shop, Events) to level up your gear (e.g., to +40).
  2. Refining: Use Refining Stones (Orange Stones) to add "Stars" to your gear. This unlocks powerful hidden attributes.
  3. Pro Tip: Always try to match the Faction of the equipment to the Faction of the Hero wearing it for a massive 20%+ bonus stat boost!

🔮 4. Relics

Content Added!

Relics are specialized items equipped in the Relic Hall that provide unique passive buffs to your deployed queues.

  1. How to obtain: You pull them using Relic Summon tokens.
  2. Upgrading: You use duplicate Relic fragments and Magic Stones to level them up, increasing their percentage buffs.
  3. Prioritize Synergies: Equip relics that match your main team's playstyle. If you run a heavily aggressive League team, prioritize relics that boost Crit Damage and Initial Energy.

🦸‍♂️ 5. Heroes Upgrade & Skills

Your main 5-hero queue is the spearhead of your account. Do not spread resources thinly across all heroes; pour everything into your main team.

1. Level Upgrades

Use Meat and Hero EXP potions to level up your heroes. Your main Tank and main DPS (like Kimberly) should always be max leveled first.

2. Star Upgrades & How to Max Your Hero

You need specific Hero Shards and Faction Emblems to increase a hero's Star level.

  1. Progression: Stars go from Yellow ➔ Red ➔ White.
  2. Getting a hero to 5 White Stars is considered "Maxing" their standard progression.

3. Traits Upgrade

Once you reach 5 White Stars, you unlock the Traits system. These are specific nodes you can unlock using Trait Tokens to give your maxed hero specialized stat boosts (like extra Armor Penetration or Dodge).

4. What is Awakening the Hero?

Awakening is the final, ultimate progression system for a hero. By using specific Awakening Stones and massive amounts of Hero Shards on a 5-White-Star hero, you can push them past their limit. Awakening alters their visual appearance and unlocks game-changing passive abilities or enhanced ultimate skill effects.

5. Skill Upgrades (Content Added!)

Use Skill Books to level up your hero's 4 abilities.

  1. Tip: For Mythic (Red) heroes, it costs tens of thousands of Legendary Skill books to max a skill. Always max their Ultimate Skill (Active) and their best passive stat-boosting skill first.

🪨 6. Lord Runes & Lord Gear

Content Added!

Lord Runes and Gear apply global buffs to your entire account, making them incredibly valuable.

  1. Lord Runes: These are equipped directly to your Lord profile. You can mix and match them to create "Sets" (e.g., 4-piece Crit Set, 2-piece HP Set). Upgrade them using Rune Dust to increase their base stats.
  2. Lord Gear: Unlike Hero Gear, Lord Gear buffs all your troops and heroes simultaneously. Materials for forging Lord Gear are usually obtained through premium events or high-level Guild activities.

🏕️ 7. Decor

*** Important: Must save all Decoration for event.

Decorating your base isn't just for aesthetics; it provides vital passive stats!

Where do I find my decor?

You can find your obtained decor in your inventory or by opening the "Build/Decorate" menu when viewing your base.

Does placing my decor mean I get the buff/boost?

No. Simply placing the decor on the ground does not give you the stats. You need to officially activate it after it is placed.

How do I activate a decor?

After placing the decoration in your base, tap on it. A menu will pop up showing an "Activate" button. You will usually need to pay a small fee of basic resources (Wood, Stone, or sometimes Rubies) to permanently turn on its passive buff.

What does levelling the decor mean?

Once activated, many premium decors can be leveled up. By tapping the decor and selecting "Upgrade," you can consume duplicate decor fragments or specific event items to increase the percentage of the buff it provides (e.g., upgrading a decor from +1% Attack to +3% Attack).
